Portland International Film Festival starts Feb. 11 and runs through Feb. 27.

The 33rd Portland International Film Festival started today and runs through Saturday, Feb. 27. Are you going? If so, Becky and I would like to hear from you.

We’ll be talking about the festival on our next show and would love to share your opinions about the movies that are playing. It’s quite a line up. You can find a list of all the movies on the festival’s Web site at: http://festivals.nwfilm.org/piff33.

Down but not out! Show production delayed

Becky Bergman, co-host of “The Becky and Joe Show,” has taken ill and so we’ve skipped production of the show this week. She contracted pneumonia as a complication to the H1N1 influenza virus. She’s on the mend now and we expect to have a show online next Monday, Feb. 1.

Becky is grateful for the outpouring of good wishes from the show’s fans and from friends and family. Unless something unexpected happens, starting next week we’ll be streaming on Mondays at noon on PDX.FM Channel Two and at 1 p.m. on Channel One. The show will be available on our Web site and on iTunes immediately after the 1 p.m. show.

You’ve exceeded our expectations … thank you!

So far since our first podcast episode was uploaded, about 130 people have downloaded it from iTunes, our Web site and other podcast directories.

We never expected that our first show would have gained so much audience so quickly. We hope you all return for next week’s show. We won’t let you down since you’ve obviously given us a chance.

Thanks again and we’ll let you know as soon as next Sunday’s show is online.
