May 17, 2010

We’re back from a week off from broadcasting the show because of what Joe called a close call with death, and others, including Becky, call a run-of-the-mill cold with congestion and cough. Joe admits how tough Becky is because she was able to do the show when she was down with pneumonia in the winter. Joe conducts another one of his trans-Atlantic interviews when he talks to Chris Miller, a friend and fellow journalist who recently arrived in Ukraine for Peace Corp training. Plus Becky and Joe share some wacky news from around the world.

In episode 115, Joe tells Becky that he’s going to start working out to lose weight. Becky’s heard that before, but she still listens to him. Nice woman, that Becky. Topics discussed during the show include: Cinco de Mayo, Joe’s new iPad, beach gigolos, commercials that are too loud and what Congress wants to do about them and monkey meatballs. Yes, you read that correctly. And Becky shares information about how sleeping positions can tell a lot about someone’s personality. Plus a contest update and a lot more wacky news from all over the world.
